Staying in the city does not imply feeling and living all the movement of people, traffic and noise! In this nice apartment you can enjoy the best of the city of Funchal, staying in a quiet place, where you can be dazzled by a fantastic view of the beautiful city bay. This apartment has a decoration that combines practical and modern furniture, with small classic details, creating a relaxed and cared environment. With a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, and a living room with a sofa bed, this property sleeps a maximum of four people. In addition to the interior space, the house has a small terrace that you can use to have a drink in the evening or enjoy your meals during your stay. The house has a free parking space and is fully equipped with all amenities. THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA This apartment is located in a quiet residential area, close to the center of Funchal. Its location allows you to move easily to any place in the city or the island, with close access to the highway that connects the east, west and north of the island. Nearby you will find some cafes, snack-bars and small grocery stores. The nearest supermarket is 5 minutes away by car. TRANSPORT For departures and arrivals from the airport, the best option to reach the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the cabs you find at the airport! GUESTS ACCESS Guests have access to all areas of the apartment. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We are always available to help or answer any questions. Please contact us via cell phone numbers or email. We will do our best to accommodate all requests. OTHER REMARKS - According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid identification document (e.g. passport, identity card). - Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If not booked within a maximum of 48 hours, guests will be subject to our staff's availability. - All bed linens and towels are provided. We can also place a crib, high chair, and baby bathtub if needed. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and fire blanket at all properties. ATTENTION Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. Positive: Location was good, There is a little cafe opposite which makes a beautiful espresso ( and we are serious about our coffees) and good people running it; Negative: You need to be a hill-walker because it is up a steep hill or use a taxi. We are in our 80's btw so any reasonably fit person can do it. The cafe opposite can be noisy, but this manageable by using the double paned windows.

Die Wohnung ist sehr groß, stilvoll eingerichtet, bestens ausgestattet und liegt in toller Lage mit schönem Ausblick. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Host war jederzeit freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider gab es jede Nacht starke Klopfgeräusche (einer Heizung?) direkt an der Schlafzimmerwand, wodurch wir beide kaum schlafen konnten – selbst mit extra gekauften Ohrstöpseln war es kaum auszuhalten. Der Host war bemüht, das Problem zu lösen, leider ohne Erfolg. Als Entgegenkommen wurde uns aber ein Teil des Betrags erstattet, was wir sehr fair fanden. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt mit einem Wermutstropfen – ohne die Geräusche wären es definitiv 5 Sterne gewesen.

L’appartement est tres spacieux pour 2 personnes. La vue et la terrasse sont super agréables, et l’emplacement de l’appartement est bon (sur les hauteurs mais centre ville à 15min à pied, cela monte pour le retour). La place de parking est un vrai plus, mais attention car les rues sont étroites et le garage n’est pas facile d’accès. L’appartement nécessiterait quelques réparations et un nettoyage plus poussé néanmoins. La communication avec l’hôte est fluide et les consignes d’arrivées et de départ claires.

Schönes gemütliches Apartment, etwas erhöht, mit phantastischem Blick von der Terrasse über die Stadt bis zum Meer und Hafen. Zu Fuß ca. 10 Minuten in das Zentrum. Die Ausstattung war gut, wir haben nichts vermisst. Eine 2. Heizung wurde uns sofort auf Anfrage gebracht. Maria von An Island Apart und Fabio waren sehr hilfsbereit, bei Nachfragen sofort zur Stelle und haben innerhalb kürzester Zeit reagiert. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

From neighbours that play loud music all night, the traffic that almost drives through the bedroom and the slamming front door next to the bedroom: this place is not the quiet apartment that is advertised. The mattress is rather thing and the iron springs make it uncomfortable. We would recommend to stay away from this apartment, for this price.
