Sun, pool and much comfort. A luxurious home for a dream vacation.
Located in Arco da Calheta, this property is between the mountains and the sea. Here, you can plan to start the day doing a “levada” walk in Rabaçal area and finish the day diving into the crystal clear waters of Jardim do Mar. If you prefer to stay at home you will have the possibility to swith the dip in the private pool with some barbecue snacks. With two bedrooms, one with queen-size bed, the other with two single beds, this house has a maximum capacity of 4 people. It is ideal for a family holiday. Or couple. Or with friends. It has all the necessary amenities and a superb view. It also has private parking space. THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW Situated in the west, this house is in the must sun exposed area of the Island of Madeira. About 5 minutes drive away is the center of Calheta where you will find the yellow sand beach, several restaurants and a supermarket. Calheta has the Museum of Contemporary Art, a fantastic architectural masterpiece. Jardim do Mar and Paúl do Mar are a 10-minute drive away. These two small villages offer beach, animation and a very own beauty. Closer, in the vicinity, you will find small bars/restaurants and grocery stores. GETTING AROUND We recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get to the house. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi by your own in the airport! GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to all areas of the house. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We are always at your disposal to help or answer your questions. You can contact us via our mobile numbers or by email. We will do our best to meet your requests. OTHER OBSERVATIONS -Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Calheta. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax. - According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card). - Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team. - All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties. Positive: Viešnagė viloje buvo nuostabi! Labai graži, jauki ir švari vieta – viskas apgalvota iki smulkmenų. Buvo visko, ko reikia patogiam poilsiui: tvarkingi kambariai, šiuolaikiška įranga ir maloni atmosfera. Šeimininkė Rita labai paslaugi, viloje mus sutiko su vynu, vaisiais ir kitais skanėstais ir dar ji mums iškepė nuostabų apelsinų pyragą! Viloje bananų medžiai užaugę virš stiklinių balkono turėklų, todėl vandenyno vaizdas pasislepia, bet mums tai netrukdė – priešingai, bananų medžių šlamėjimas suteikė vilai dar daugiau žavesio. We did enjoy our stay overall, but we had a few issues that we didn’t expect to have at the price point we paid. Firstly, we were really excited about having an unobstructed ocean view, so we were disappointed upon check-in that the ocean view is largely obstructed by banana trees. It is still very beautiful, but they need to update their photos on AirBnB as they are falsely advertising a view that doesn’t exist. Secondly, the bed in the pain master bedroom was very firm and uncomfortable to us. It would be nice if the AirBnB would provide a foam topper for the bed for people to use if they prefer a softer mattress. Thirdly, for about the first week of our stay we were consistently waking up to various pests (worms, cockroaches, and lizards) inside the AirBnB. The host did warn us about this upon check-in, but it was quite gross. Other than these issues, the AirBnB was lovely!

Modern house in a quite location. Good base for visiting the western part of the island. Phenomenal ocean views from a south facing terrace. All rooms very clean and perfectly equipped kitchen, clearly above expectations. Many thanks to our host Rita for the great hospitality. We couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended.

We had a great time at the Searenity Vacations Home which met and exceeded our expectations from the pictures we had seen before. Everything was super clean, we had a great welcome basket with fresh fruit and local produce, our lovely host Rita was always available with recommendations and checked in regularly if everything was OK. We will definitely come back!
